Do you dream of being a good cook? I used to, but now I have changed my ind. You see, I have always loved rice pudding. So last Sunday, I decided to make one myself. The directions on th e box seemed easy enough to follow. But when I came to the amount of rice required, I hesitated. The recipe on the box directed, “ One half cup full.”
I just thought that it was not enough for six to eight generous helpings. So I decided that there was a misprint. So, Ipoured the entire contents of the box in to the boiling water. Then, I turned my attention to making the toppings of my masterpiece. Suddenly, I heard a strange, hissing sound from the direction of the stove. To my consternation, I beheld my rice pudding oozing quickly out of the container and dripping onto the stove, then on to the floor. I tried spooning the ever-increasing mixture into large containers, but themore I spooned out, themore rice flowed out. A large puddle had already formed on the floor when I remember to switch off the stove to stop the fierce rice attack.
